Ring14 International : Call for research grant application 2021
The Ring14 International call for research grant application 2021 has been launched to solicit international research projects focused on the Ring 14 or chromosome 14 related syndromes.
The projects can be basic or pre-clinical, the ultimate goal is to find a cure for these conditions. The 2021 call for applications has been issued for one-year research project, funded with 50,000 Euros.
The call for research grant application 2021 is open until 31st March 2021.
ANGELINI FOR FUTURE 2021 – Supports for Independent Research in Rare Diseases – Call for Proposals
Angelini Pharma and INCIPIT launch the first edition of the Angelini for Future 2021 call to support independent research projects in rare diseases.
Angelini Pharma is an international group, leader in health care and well-being, committed to help patients, doctors and caregivers in the fight against diseases with constant and prevalent attention in the areas of Pain and Inflammation and Mental Health. Angelini Pharma has made research its core business to improve patients’ health and quality of life.
INCIPIT, Italian Network for Paediatric Clinical Trials, is a non profit consortium composed by the Italian main children’s hospitals, the largest departments of paediatrics and national and international paediatric therapeutic networks coordinated by Italian institutions with the aim to support the planning, conduction and completion of all types of clinical studies in the paediatric population.
In this context, Angelini and INCIPIT, sharing the scope to promote high quality research on drugs, are now launching the first edition of call for proposals – Angelini for Future 2021- to support independent research projects proposed by European investigators working in public or private non-profit healthcare organizations. In this joint collaboration, Angelini allocates 300 K€ to fund up to two research projects either in late preclinical phase or in early clinical phase and INCIPIT provides the expertise to prepare the call, to manage the evaluation process of the research projects and to perform monitoring of the scientific results.
Therapeutic area: This call is in support of research project focusing on rare diseases (in Europe a disease is considered to be rare when it affects 1 person per 2000) or on conditions with high unmet medical needs in CNS with the aim to identify and to develop new uses of existing drugs in the paediatric population.
Host Institution: Only research proposals submitted by Investigators employed by public and private non-profit Research Institutions (Academia, Research Foundation and non-profit organizations) are eligible.
Pre-proposal deadline: 31 March 2021.
EJP-RD : The Research Mobility Fellowships call
The call for Research Mobility Fellowships aims to support PhD students, Postdocs and medical doctors in training to undertake scientific visits fostering specialist research training outside their countries of residence.
The exchange can be carried out either:
- within the same ERN (Full Members and Affiliated Partners), OR
- between different ERNs (Full Members and Affiliated Partners), OR
- between ERN Full Members / Affiliated Partners and non-ERN institutions.
Either home or host (secondment) institution must be a Full Member or Affiliated Partner of an ERN at the time when the application is submitted, as well as during the proposed period of the training stay.
Successful applicants should acquire new competences and knowledge related to their research on rare diseases, with a defined research plan and demonstrable benefit to the ERN of the home and/or host institution.
Fellows should take into consideration several elements such as:
- Relevance and impact of the project, for the fellow, home and host institutions and the ERN as a whole
- clear added value for the ERN(s)
- Quality of the research proposal
- Organization and proposed methodology of the training
- Relevance of timelines and of required resources and budget
The research mobility fellowships are meant to cover stays of 4 weeks to 6 months duration.
The deadline for application is 26 April 2021.
EJP RD – Networking Support Scheme (NSS) Call
The EJP RD Networking Support Scheme (NSS) call is open.
The first aim is to encourage sharing of knowledge on rare diseases and rare cancers of health care professionals, researchers and patients. The second aim is to enable or increase the participation of usually underrepresented countries in Europe (see below) in new and existing research networks. The scheme will provide financial support to applicants to organize workshops or conferences. The focus of these workshops or conferences should be (the implications of) research results and innovative solutions in compliance with the vision set by the International Rare Diseases Research Consortium (IRDiRC) : "“enable all people living with a rare disease to receive an accurate diagnosis, care, and available therapy within one year of coming to medical attention”.
In this Networking Support Scheme applicants can apply for a budget of a maximum of 30,000 € per event.
The collection date is March 2nd at 14:00 (CET). The next collection date will be June 1st.
